Abstract / Full Text
Introduction of metal (Ag, Fe, Cu) into ionite leads to the formation of metal-containing redoxitewith mixed ionic and electronic conduction, which is realized through counterions, metal component, and polymeric matrix. Overall electrical conductivity is affected by metal nature, metal’s oxidizability, its capability forforming ionic and oxide products, as well as by steric factors (amount of metal, pore volume occupied bymetal). An adequate amount of metal reduces activation energy of ionite conductivity.
