Abstract / Full Text

The electromagnetic interaction in hadrons is considered in a certain approximation. Approximate masses have been obtained for the particles π0, π±,K 0, η,n, ∑0, Ξ0 and it is pointed out that the masses of the π, ∑0 and Ξ0 particles are proportional to their supposed mass compositions, i.e., proportional to the numbers 2, (16π/3+1/3), 6π. On that basis, the masses of the particles are refined:\(m_{\Sigma ^0 } = 1192.5201 \pm 0.0030 MeV/c^2 \) and\(m_{\Xi ^0 } = 1315.4158 \pm 0.0030 MeV/c^2 \). It is suggested that the masses of the ∑0 and Ξ0 particles should be refined by experiment.
