Abstract / Full Text

A possibility of radio-wave diagnostics of plane-stratified media using a single linear antenna and primaryfield compensation in the microwave range (300 MHz) is analyzed. The antenna-coupled impedance of the monitored medium is investigated numerically taking into account primary-field compensation. The investigations are performed for three-layer dielectric media as a function of their dielectric properties, level of field compensation, and antenna position with respect to the air-medium boundary.
