Mathematical Model for Flow and Mass Transfer in Electromembrane Cells with Macrovortical Fluid Flow

A mathematical model for the flow and mass transfer in an electrodialysis cell of a special formintended for developing macrovortical flow of the fluid being processed is presented. Calculated characteristics ofthe flow and mass transfer are compared with the data obtained by other authors. As shown by an application example, the cells under study offer enhanced efficiency of the electrodialysis apparatus as compared with the analogue.
